Oh, He’s tried. He’s searched high and low for that bastard, but he’s up and vanished like one of Jade’s damn pumpkins.

Of course, your bro is not a pumpkin. Therefore, he will be back later. It isn’t uncommon for him to stay the night out,  and when he did, Dave never got a heads up.

That sort of thing would be nice, but Dave would never tell his Bro that. Obviously whining about shit like that was only for pansy little girls.

Dave dug around in his closet for a pizza (You don’t keep that stuff in the fridge in the Strider house) and popped it in the microwave, getting ready for a night in front of the TV. Who’s to say he can’t, right?
